Dear Honorable Colleagues
For more than 1.5 years World Institute of Pain (WIP) Middle East Section board has been trying to materialize a project for the WIP SPECIAL INTEREST FORUM: From ACUTE to CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT, dedicated to the developing countries particularly in Africa. Acute pain constitutes the major bulk of pain and in practice is a very good tool to prevent the agonizing persistent demanding chronic pain.
Our aim is to connect to senior key physicians and highly educated specialized nurses working in large hospitals in order to achieve a higher simple management of acute postoperative pain. For this purpose a sector of the WIP website (www.wip-acutepain.org) has been constructed free of charge to deliver up-to-date publications suited to your requirements (practical, simple, easily adaptable, fitting to our limited resources) with a circle of electronic communication to answer all queries and to provide solutions to any particular problem/disease. We have been able to get you under your fingertips the great international experts in the field: Dr. Narinder Rawal – Sweden, Dr. Mary Hanna – John Hopkins US, Dr. Loran Soliman – Cleveland Clinic US, Dr. Milton Raff - South Africa, Dr. Amany Ayad –Cairo University to materialize such humanitarian domain. You can e-mail and ask them questions, and they will help you to make a breakthrough achievement and to formulate guidelines for your management. Since Africa represents a major target, a section for French-speaking countries under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Narchi of France and myself will cover such requirement.
I am inviting you as the Chairman of WIP Middle East Section and the initiative for such project with Dr. Ayad (Secretary of WIP Middle East) and our experts officers (Dr. Milton Raff, Dr. Ammar Salti, Dr Patrick Narchi) to register yourself and encourage all colleagues and friends to use our dedicated Website hoping it will contribute to a better service in your country. *You may register as a non-member or join as a member using the form linkkks below and send to the WIP Secretariat.
It is worth mentioning that depending on your serious activities, regional meetings for the active members will be sponsored for further training (Sonographic and Radiological) and better performance.
